Here are some handy links to your state and local legislators. This is a work in progress; please have patience.

E-mail is a means of contacting your legislator directly while he or she is in Juneau, without the length restrictions of a POM or the in-state long-distance charges of a phone call. The e-mail addresses for your state legislators follow a standard form. Cut-and-paste them into your e-mail address book. You will notice some information is lacking. If you know Webpage addresses, etc., not listed, please e-mail them to us.

Council members are elected for three-year terms. City Council meetings are generally held every other Monday at 7:00 p.m., unless holidays mandate a change in scheduling. Taxpayers can have input either during Citizens' Comments, or by testifying at public hearings. One letter to the council can be submitted to the City Clerk's Office to be copied and inserted in each council member's "packet" of information before each council meeting. In Sept. 1999, meetings will be the 13th and 27th, Oct. 1999, the 11th and 25th, Nov. 1999, the 8th and 22nd, and Dec. 1999 they will meet on the 6th and 13th.
